Here’s the very first look at Pico and Wilshire, the new prehistoric figure set from Joe Ledbetter. Named after the LA streets that cross what was once the natural habitat of the Sabretooth Cat (Pico) and the Wooly Mammoth (Wilshire), this set finds Pico learning first-hand that taking down Wilshire is not going to be as easy as he or his stomach might have hoped. The scale of this struggle is impressive with the massive mammoth standing a towering 12” tall and the embedded Pico measuring out at nearly 6”.
Joe’s dramatic yet humorous design is complimented nicely by the deco which features his trademark black outlines across both Pico and the wide-body Wilshire. This set nicely maximizes the possibilities of the 3D medium with Pico’s sharp teeth and Wilshire’s large tusks and trunk.

Here’s a first look at Joe Ledbetter’s upcoming Magnus and Friday Gradient collector’s set! Drawn from the story told in Joe’s recent solo show, this low-run (198 pcs) edition features smooth gradient blends for some serious eye candy. Rarely seen on production figures, this paint technique sets the new release apart. As with the original set, the Gradient edition features both 3” figures –- Mangus (with hobo sack) and his true love Friday-- each with 3-points of articulation and comes in a window gift box. Ten lucky collectors who find special tickets randomly inserted across both the Original and Gradient edition boxes will be able to redeem them for a special silk screened limited edition print (ed. of 10).
The Mangus and Friday Gradient Collector’s set will be available on Friday, June 25th @ Noon PDT for $70 exclusively from theloyalsubjects.com. The figures will arrive in late June, early July.

The set will be avaliable on Tuesday, June 8th as a companion to Joe Ledbetter's Magnus Maximus solo show which opens this Friday at the Corey Helford gallery.
The set of two griffins is drawn directly from the show’s narrative which finds Magnus on a journey of discovery both of his true self (Magnus Maximus) and his true love, Friday. As seen in the paintings, Magnus carries a hobo sack – a symbol of his travels.
The Magnus and Friday collector set features both the Magnus Maximus and Friday 3” griffin figures with 100+ paint ops including Joe’s trademark black outline and some articulation. As a cool bonus, ten of the sets will include a randomly-inserted chaseticket redeemable for an exclusive silk-screened print (edition of ten).
